George William Steinman, 76, of Oak Harbor, passed away Sept. 22, 2008 while surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born July 19, 1932 in Casper, Wyo., to Elmer William “Bill” and Florence Amy (Boyles) Steinman. He was a proud officer in the U.S. Air Force. George supported the Eagles, Lions, VFW and Moose lodges. He is survived by his wife Karen and numerous sons, daughters and grandchildren both adopted and natural.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Oak Bay Station Clubhouse, 135 NE Baron Drive. In lieu of flowers donations may be made through Whidbey Island Bank.
