Shirley R. Dean, 77, of Coupeville, passed away Oct. 13, 2009 in Coupeville. She was born July 31, 1932 in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Clarence Chester and Minnie Margaret (Hamilton) Chadwick.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Dean, of Coupeville; daughter Christine Peringer of Coupeville; grandson David Peringer and great- grandchildren Kaci and Brookelyn of Spokane; son Dale Peringer, wife Cheryl and granddaughter Stacey of Spokane; son Rick Peringer, wife Kathleen, and grandchildren Matt, Katy, and McKenzie of Pullman; son Dan Peringer and granddaughter Gina of Coupeville; sister June Crum and husband Ray of Glenwood N.M.; brother Bill Chadwick and wife Pat of Santa Ana, Calif., brother Doug Chadwick and wife Donna of Spokane; sister-in-law Linda Chadwick of Santa Ana, wife of brother Mick Chadwick (deceased).

A private memorial service for immediate family will be held next spring.
