Samuel Morris Wright left us suddenly and unexpectedly due to a massive coronary on March 12, 2011, after spending his day off doing what he loved most … fishing. Sam was born March 9, 1952, to Mildred and Marion Wright in Sikestan, Mo. Sam graduated from Eureka High School in 1970. Sam and Diana married in 1972.

Sam joined the Navy in 1975, where he spent 9 years, 9 months and 28 days. Then he went to work for Boeing which included three years working in Iraq. He finally settled in Tucson, Ariz.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Marion and Mildred Wright. He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Diana; a daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Goette and their daughters Raeanna and Anna-Kae, both 8 years old; a son, Jason, who lives and works in the family child care business; and a sister Gail (Dennis) Swinford of St. Louis.

He also leaves many extended family members and many friends, who will miss him dearly.
