Rita Ann Farley found peace and comfort Sept. 5, 2007.
Born in New York City, July 25, 1927, to Margarite and Thomas Kilcommons. Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Edward (Ned) Farley, her prince of four years, Willis (Bill) Brewer and her brother Maury Kilcommons.
Surviving family includes Thomas and Joan Kilcommons; Maureen and Malcolm Carolan; Gene and Jean Kilcommons; Catherine Rogers; John Kilcommons; Dian Raymond; Ann Wyatt; Ned Farley and Mike Klim; Paddy Farley; Barbara Brucker; Beverly, Rand, Laura and Ryan Masteller; And many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Rita was an inspiration to everyone she met. And everyone she met was blessed for meeting her. Lucky are those who joined Rita in her own celebration of life for her 80th birthday.
Rita will rest in peace in a few of her favorite places, as well as Sunnyside Cemetery, Coupeville. Rita’s ashes will be placed at the gravesite in a family gathering.
A celebration of Rita’s life will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, at Coupeville’s Tyee Restaurant, following the Sunday Mass being said for Rita in Coupeville’s St. Mary’s Church at 11:15 a.m. A celebration of life will also be planned in Tahoe City, Calif.
