Natalina â??Eileenâ?? Hobson

Eileen Hobson, 83, long-time Oak Harbor resident, died July 17, 2009, at Careage of Whidbey.

Mrs. Hobson was born in Nanaimo, B.C., on Dec. 16, 1925, to Charles and Augusta (Sibau) Bucoviz. The family moved to Vancouver, B.C. Natalina married David Hobson in November 1952, and became a U.S. citizen in 1958. The couple lived in Kodiak, Alaska, Oakland, Calif., and Washington, D.C. before coming to Oak Harbor in 1968. Natalina was employed by Civil Service at NAS Whidbey for 22 years.

Natalina is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Lori Hobson of Seattle; two grandchildren, Jacob and Mikaela Hobson of Seattle; one brother, Larry Bucoviz and his wife Doreen of Burnaby, B.C.; two nieces, Laura Punzo of Coquitlam, B.C. and Maureen Skidmore of Delta, B.C.; and nephew Brad Bucoviz of Surrey, B.C. She was preceded in death by her husband David in November 1979.
