Leotis Mae Oâ??Brien Freeman

Leotis Mae (O’Brien) Freeman was born May 22, 1928, in Independence, Kan., and died on Sept. 9, 2009, in Coupeville. Leotis moved from Kansas to Richland, Wash., in 1979 where she met Clyde Freeman. Leotis and Clyde married on Nov. 26, 1983, in Richland. After Clyde retired in 1987, in the fall of 1989 he and Leotis made Whidbey Island their home, where she is survived by Clyde.

Leotis was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Matilda (Johnson) O’Brien; her father, Paul Otis O’Brien; and an infant brother, Rex O’Brien.

She is also survived by:

Five brothers and two sisters: Jim O’Brien (Patti), Emporia, Kan.; Larry O’Brien, Mound Valley, Kan.; Eddie O’Brien (Judy), Mannford, Okla.; Sharylon DeMott (Dean), Cherryvale, KS; Jack O’Brien (Sue), Black River, N.Y.; Georganne Smith (Charles), Cherryvale, Kan.; and Pat O’Brien (Janice), Casper, Wyo. Four children: Vicki Sisco-Cowan (Bill), Selmer, Tenn.; Dan Sisco, Malta, Mont.; Sharon Sisco Gunn (Sherrill), Paducah, Ky.; and Terri Sisco Castellano (Rick Tunstall), Greenbank.

Two stepchildren: Patti Freeman Mattocks (Kelly), Milton Freewater, Ore.; and Lynda Freeman Taylor, Oldtown, Idaho.

Fourteen grandchildren: Richele, Renae, Paul, Skyla, Amy, Megan, Sean, Lori, Noah, Lance, Ashley, Patrick, Travis and Kelly.

Thirteen great-grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, Cooper, Summer, Logan, Kourtnie, Rylee, Isabelle, Christian, Jeremy, Caitlin, Corey and Caleb.

One great-great-grandchild: Lane.
