James L. Russell, 73, a former Skagit County resident, died Oct. 30, 2005 in Eugene, Oregon.

Jim was born March 22, 1932 in Palestine, Texas, the son of Lawrence and Mary Eubanks Russell. Jim served his country in both the U.S. Army and Navy during the Korea and Vietnam conflicts.

He was married to Gladys Prince for 19 years.

Jim held a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon.

He founded Absolute Security Co., based in Eugene, where he has made his home for the past 34 years.

Jim enjoyed reading and genealogy.

He is survived by his three daughters, Mary Liljegren of Nampa, Idaho, Sherry Rhodes of Loon Lake, Wash., and Tami Olsen of Arlington; one son, Steve Russell of Marblemount; one sister, Jane Bates of Antioch, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and his former wife, Gladys Russell- Buhrow. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Russell.

Graveside Inurnment services will be held at the Hamilton Cemetery on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m., Mr. Bill Heberling officiating. Military honors will be provided by the George Baldridge Post 43, American Legion. Services under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
