Gerry Wannamaker

Born in July 26, 1939, in Vancouver, Wash., Gerry Wanamaker passed away at the Enso House in Freeland, on Oct. 31, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Connie of 51 years; five children, Robin, Kim, Amy (David), Tim and Gwen (Jason); six grandchildren, David, Erik, Dylan, Joy, Bebe and Kylee; and one sister, Cyndi (Larry) Keller.

He retired from Coupeville Lumbermens and was a member of the “Silvertones” Senior Center band, and played his trombone in the All-Island Band and especially enjoyed the Summer Concerts in the park.

Gerry was born, raised and lived in Clark County, Wash., for 61 years before becoming a resident of Oak Harbor for the last 11 years. He loved living here; fishing at Ebey beach during his lunch hour, hiking many of the trails with his dog Roxy, and enjoying the scenery of Whidbey Island.
