Frances C. Hansen, 77, of Pensacola, Fla., passed away Feb. 26, 2008, at a hospital in the area.

She was a member of Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church, where she loved singing in the church choir. Frances spent a good share of her life sewing clothes for her family and others, including volunteering her services to local community theaters and other organizations.

A devoted wife, caring mother, grandmother and a true friend to many; she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Raymond Hansen; two brothers, Floyd and Warren Phillips.

She is survived by her children, Gerry Thompson, John Hansen (Victoria), Cindy Swan (Brian) and Michael Hansen (Catherine); 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Bright and Virginia Chastain.

Memorial services were held Feb. 28 at Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Avery officiating. Faith Chapel Funeral Home handled arrangements.
