Elizabeth Rumsey died April 17, 2011, at her home. She was born Dec. 14, 1932, in Vancouver, B.C., to Jack Graves and Beatrice Jones Graves.

In 1956 Elizabeth married Kenneth Cleary and together they raised four children. Kenneth passed away in 1984 and subsequently in 1987 she moved to Whidbey Island where she went to work with her son David at the Midway Barber Shop.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons Alan Cleary and David Cleary with wife Gwendolyn of Oak Harbor; daughter Katherine Vandewerfhorst with husband Jerry of Oak Harbor; and son Richard Cleary of Arlington, Wash. She also leaves brothers Marvin McClurg and Michael McClurg and sisters Patricia McClurg, Florence Soelich and Mary Ann Mc Clurg, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be held Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to noon followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Burley Funeral Chapel, which will be followed by burial at Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville.
