Clark William Jenkins

Clark William Jenkins, 67, longtime Whidbey Island resident, passed away May 31, 2011, in Oak Harbor.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Seattle on Aug. 14, 1943, to Oscar and Glenna (Brubaker) Jenkins. He was a graduate of the University of Washington where he received a bachelor of science degree in psychology. Clark had various jobs, including that of mental health counselor. He fully accepted the Lord’s counsel by loving and helping his fellow man. On July 18, 1978, Clark married Joan Jansma. He attended the Coupeville Community Bible Church where he held a weekly men’s Bible study.

Clark is survived by his wife, Joan Jenkins of Oak Harbor; his son David Jenkins of Seattle; his parents Oscar and Glenna Jenkins of Oak Harbor; his brother Ray Jenkins and wife Christy of Oak Harbor; his sister Sharon Gilbert and husband Noel of Fullerton, Calif.; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at Coupeville Community Bible Church, 502 NE Otis St., on June 3.
