Carolyn Jean Dalseg

Carolyn J. Dalseg was born to Eric and Minnie Louise (Landgreen) Gustafson on May 12, 1942 in Pipestone, Minn., and she entered into rest with her Lord and Saviour on Feb. 3, 2007 in Coupeville with her family at her side. Carolyn lived for many years in Oak Harbor, and was a member of the Oak Harbor Post American Legion.

Carolyn had many interests, like camping and fishing with her family (losing many fishing poles). She was also an avid pool and darts player. She entered many darts contests through her league, competing at the state level. Carolyn enjoyed socializing, making many friends during her lifetime.

Carolyn is survived by her loving children, William McKinney of Bothell, Michael Dalseg, and Crystal McKinney of Burien; grandchildren, Crystal Gutierrez of New York and Alecia and Jesse McKinney of Bothell; brothers, Robert Gustafson of Idaho, Lyle Gustafson of Minnesota, Darrell Gustafson, Leland Gustafson, and Leonard Gustafson, all of South Dakota; and sisters, Donna Hayes and Shirley Schickmiller of South Dakota. Carolyn is predeceased by her parents, a sister Lorna Reichart, and Dennis Gustafson, and a daughter-in-law Traci McKinney. A celebration of her life is being planned and will be announced in a later edition of the Whidbey News-Times. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Affordable Burial & Cremation Services, LLC of Mount Vernon. Cards of condolence may be sent to the family in care of the Funeral Home.
