Barney Heller

Barney Heller was born Sept. 17, 1918, in Oak Harbor to Dutch immigrant Martinus Heller and his wife, Elizabeth. He died April 3, 2008, in Everett.

Barney was very active in sports, especially baseball, playing on school teams as well as with area teams. He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1938.

Barney moved to Everett in 1962 and worked at Everett Plywood mill until its closing in 1975.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, Roger Heller; daughters, Margaret Carl, Patricia Heller, Glenda Heller; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and by his sister, Maggie Bruhn.
