Arlene “Arlo” Kay Hansen, 48, of Coupeville, passed suddenly in her home Thursday, July 8, 2010.
Born to Dorothy Day and the late Robert Pitts, Nov. 14, 1961 in Emmett, Idaho, her need for exploration took her from home to Wyoming, California and finally Whidbey Island where she raised her two sons.
She will be remembered for her barrel racing, love for horses, dog training, cross country racing, knowledge of astrology and her passion for painting.
Arlene is survived by: Sons Bryson Hansen of Oak Harbor and Leland Hansen of Anchorage; her partner Ed Sullivan of Coupeville; her mother Dorothy Day of Emmett, Idaho; and her friends who were her family, Bob, Rabbit, Ben, Cindy and so many more.
Please join Arlene’s family and friends at her graveside service Friday, July 16, at 1 p.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville with reception to follow. Memorials may be sent to Mr. Sullivan. Arrangements entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, 675-3192.
