Youth sports should be fair

What is it with youth sports? Why the emphasis on winning instead of each child having equal playtime and learning the fundamentals?

All these families pay an equal amount for their child to participate so why not equal play for equal pay? When a child makes a mistake during game situations as well as practices and a coach says, “Get him out of here,” instead of utilizing that time to school the child, then we have a problem. I’m not certain what qualifies a person to coach our youth besides the fact that their child is on the team, but we seriously need to look at the message we are sending our children. It is unacceptable for a coach’s son to play all but one or two plays while others are lucky to play four or five. Inequality is unacceptable.
