The Board of Island County Commissioners yesterday reappointed Wilbur Bishop and Fran Einterz as county representatives to the Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve Trust Board.

Their terms expired Oct. 1.

Alvin Sherman is the third member of the nine-member board to represent the county.

Another three represent the Town of Coupeville; one represents the county at large; one represents Washington State Parks; and one represents the National Parks Service.

The Ebey’s Landing board was created in 1988 to administer and manage the reserve. They perform duties as assigned by the National Parks Service.

The reserve was created in 1978 as a unit of the national park system and is a cooperative effort of Island County, the National Park Service, the Town of Coupeville and Washington State Parks.
