When our county treasurer, Linda Riffe, was elected in 2002 the Island County Treasurer’s office was in trouble, having been cited repeatedly over eight years by the State Auditor for shoddy accounting practices. Since her election, Ms. Riffe has been working diligently and tirelessly to bring the Treasurer’s office into state compliance, where today it’s received a clean state audit with positive comments about the changes Ms. Riffe has made to protect public monies.

If ever a public servant merited re-election, it’s Linda Riffe as Island County Treasurer.
