An 18-year-Oak Harbor woman suffered a serious injury in a rollover accident on North Whidbey Saturday morning.
Kylee Hancock-O’Brien was traveling south on Monkey Hill Road in a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer and drifted off the road, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Hancock-O’Brien overcorrected and the SUV left the roadway, rolled once and struck a power pole.
The accident was reported at 8:37 a.m.
Hancock-O’Brien was transported to Island Hospital with serious injuries.
The State Patrol reported that inattention was the cause of the accident; drugs and alcohol use was not a factor.
