Oak Harbor High School’s premier choral groups both earned the highest ratings possible at a district choral festival. Oak Harbor’s Harbor Singers and Treble Choir each were recognized with “superior” ratings for their performances at the San Juan Music Educators Association Large Group Choral Festival. The festival takes place annually at Western Washington University and features local school district bands, choirs and orchestras. “It’s not a contest so multiple choirs can get superior,” said choir director Darren McCoy. “Music is about sharing art, not competing.”
