Keep county’s hands off our pizzas

The Feb. 25 Whidbey News-Times reports that Commissioner Angie Homola is proposing new county property taxes.

We the people haven’t even gotten through this years’ school levies, yet!

Are the homeowners any better off with all the government agencies requiring more money from us?

Angie says, “We are only going to give up the price of four pizzas.” My guess is, maybe the county has been eating far too many pizzas way more than the rest of us.

The main problem the way I see it is, salaries and benefits are too high, and each year they get higher. What needs to be done in all government spending is to tip the pyramid over so the resources are at the bottom and not at the top.

Government has had so many pizzas that they feel they should not have to do without, but as for the homeowner, they can always fund a way even at the expense of giving up their own pizzas.
