Island County Sheriff: Pit bull bites face of other dog; motorcycle calls on Silver, Taylor roads

The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:

Monday, Feb. 22

At 9 a.m., there was a report of a truck that lost its trailer on Highway 20 at Winterhawk Lane. The trailer was on its side and blocking traffic.

Sunday, Feb. 21

At 3:23 p.m., a caller reported that a Chevy Nova struck a fence on Blackberry Lane.

At 4:13 p.m., a caller reported that he saw movement inside of an abandoned trailer on Richardson Court.

At 4:57 p.m., a Wandering Lane resident reported that an unknown man was harassing him via email.

Saturday, Feb. 20

At 11:36 a.m., a caller reported that a boat and two vehicles were going to be repossessed from a Spitfire Lane residence.

At 12:32 p.m., a Taylor Road resident reported that a pit bull bit her dog in the face.

At 12:44 p.m., a Fort Nugent Road resident reported that a neighbor in a blue Ford pickup without plates keeps “peeling out” in front of his house to irritate him.

At 1:22 p.m., a caller reported that a motorcyclist went down on Silver Lake Road. Another caller reported motorcyclists racing back and forth on Taylor Road.

At 4 p.m., a caller reported that a car struck a bicyclist on Silver Lake Road.

At 4:54 p.m., there was a report that someone stole a bundle of kindling from Liberty Market on Highway 20.

At 10:07 p.m., a caller reported that two “quads” were tearing up a field off Patmore Road.

Friday, Feb. 19

At 1:23 a.m., a Park Acres Drive resident reported that someone knocked on his window. All the dogs in the neighborhood were also barking like crazy.

At 3:40 p.m., a caller reported that a man was living in a black Ford Thunderbird in the parking lot of Ebey Bowl on Terry Road.

At 5:44 p.m., a caller reported that four-foot piece of metal was on Jacobs Road.

Thursday, Feb. 18

At 12:10 p.m., a caller reported that a horse wasn’t moving at all in a field off Heller Road.

At 5:23 p.m., a caller from a casino reported that an employee in Oak Harbor had been beaten up by her boyfriend and hadn’t showed up for work in two days.

At 7:08 p.m., a caller reported that a kayak was found on a beach at the end of Shorecrest Road.

Wednesday, Feb. 17

At 1:16 a.m., a caller reported that a man at an Emerald Court residence threatened to harm a woman.

At 3:32 p.m., a driver reported that a motorcycle cut him off and clipped his vehicle on Highway 20 near N. Sherman Road.

At 7:09 p.m., a caller reported he was jumped at a trailer park on Heller Road.

Tuesday, Feb. 16

At 12:10 p.m., a caller complained that a Bay Front Lane resident had a cat with a horrible ear condition that wasn’t receiving adequate treatment.

At 3:48 p.m., a North Whidbey man reported that pornographic photos of his underaged daughter were posted on the Internet.

At 4:20 p.m., a caller reported that a man in a car on Crescent Drive was playing loud music and shooting up drugs.

At 4:24 p.m., there was a report that a wireless caller on Peacock Lane called 911 and said “gimme a call.”

At 6:48 p.m., a Juan de Fuca Road resident reported that someone dumped “a pile of things” on his long driveway.
