Air Force Airman Keoni T. Kuapahi graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. He is the son of Leialoha and Amy Kuapahi of NE Big Berry Loop, Oak Harbor, and is a 2008 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Air Force Airman Joseph C. Vigil graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

He is the son of Joseph Vigil of NW Haslo Place, Oak Harbor, and Erica Turner of Thain Road, Lewiston, Idaho. Vigil is a 2005 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Capt. Jason McManigle, USMC, the son of Bob McManigle of Oak Harbor and Jean McManigle of Anacortes, graduated from Top Gun School on June 13 in Fallon, Nev. After nine weeks of intensive training, Jason was proud to wear his Top Gun Patch and return to his squadron in Beaufort, S.C., where he will share his knowledge and training with his peers. Jason graduated from Coupeville High School in 1993, attended Big Bend Community College in their flight program then went to Central Washington University and received a bachelor’s degree before joining the USMC.

Air Force Airman Daryl K. Valdez graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. He is the son of Mark A. Valdez of Olympic Court, Oak Harbor, and is a 2007 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Air Force Airman Andrew R. Dowling graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Dowling is a 2006 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Brandon J. Morgan, son of Julie K. Prather of Cleveland, Ohio and Dale J. Morgan of Oak Harbor, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
