Barbara Bailey has the qualities I want to represent me in Olympia.

I served 25 years in the U.S. Navy and worked with some incredibly talented people, in and out of uniform. During my last three years as the commanding officer of NAS Whidbey Island, I had the opportunity to work with and observe numerous senior military leaders, local and national business leaders, council members, mayors, commissioners, state legislators, governors and members of Congress. All were good — some were great.

I had a great chance to witness what distinguished the outstanding ones from the rest. Integrity, honesty and a concern for the people they represented.

They stood by their values, spoke their mind and stated facts. They didn’t just tell you what you wanted to hear. They listened.

Barbara Bailey has all these qualities. She is easily an equal to the best I have met. In the 10 years I have known Barbara I found her to be equally comfortable in a corporate boardroom, a community task force meeting or a Sunday school classroom.

She is my choice for state representative. Make her yours. She will serve us well.
