The cast and crew of “Cinderella” is almost ready to turn the Whidbey Playhouse in Oak Harbor into a fairy tale.

This timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale will warm the hearts of children and adults alike. Cinderella, of course, concerns a young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters, who dreams of a better life.

With the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella is transformed into a princess and finds her prince.

During the closing matinee intermission, children and adults who are children at heart, are invited to a Princess Tea with Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother.

Director Allenda Jenkins has prepared her cast. Cinderella is Candice Baker and Caitlin Lewis is the Fairy Godmother. Playing the Stepmother is Dara Cell Camacho, with Kassie Dewees as the Stepsister, Grace, and Katie Hudak as the Stepsister Joy.

Troy Haugen is King Maximillian and Shantel Porter is Queen Constantina.

Prince Christopher is played by Scott Arnold, and his Royal Steward Lionel is played by Nicholas Whatley. Megan LeMay is Charles the Cat, and Zoe Lowther is the Dove.

The mice are played by Ayanna Fuentes, Emily Hughes, Paige Jackson and Renee Ross. Simone Andrade, Elyse Brown, Soureya Hatzel, and Tiffany Patrick make up the Ensemble. Mary Kay Hallen and Allen Young are playing set pieces.

Cinderella opens Friday, June 4, at the Whidbey Playhouse and closes June 27. Tickets are $16, and groups of 10 or more receive a $1 discount on each ticket.
