Timothy and Shannon Turner of Oak Harbor are excited to announce the engagement of their daughter, Traci Barrett, to Gary Wisdom, son of Dennis and Paula Terry of Oak Harbor.

Barrett graduated from Oak Harbor High School and then served in the United States Army. Currently she works as a dietary cook at Island Hospital in Anacortes.

Wisdom also graduated from OHHS before serving in the Army. Now he is the lead merchandiser for Young’s Columbia.

The couple met on a Friday the 13th, were engaged on a Friday the 13th and now will marry on Friday, Aug. 13th at Living Word church in Oak Harbor.

“They’re a very close and loving couple,” Shannon Turner said. “Us parents have already formed a new family. We’re just thrilled.”
