Shame parent is being besmirched | Letters

Editor,

Lynne Vagt and I used to be neighbors, I live in England now. I count myself privileged to know Lynne, an exemplary mother, hard working, involved in her church and community. Not many people could hold a candle to Lynne.

An $8,000 swim fee for Lynne’s children who live at home, seems extreme to me. Is it any wonder that all children do not have equal opportunity in the U.S.A., when parents are charged so much? If any of Lynne’s children did win a medal for their swimming achievement, Oak Harbor would be wearing the glory no doubt. It’s shameful that Lynne had her good name besmirched.
