Editor,
James Lee Burke describes an ideologue as being someone who brings religious passion to a political abstraction only cretins could think up.
This aptly describes the socialist leftist ideologues who have taken over the Democratic party and are peddling their ideology of Critical Race Theory, aka “equity.”
Socialist leftists claim America was founded by racist white people to perpetuate slavery which has resulted in our society being systemically racist.
Critical Race Theory posits this “systemic racism,” like a drop of ink in a glass of water, is diffused throughout every aspect of our society and is being perpetuated by all white people.
Critical Race Theory thus concludes that all white people are racists and that not only do white people not know they are racists, but denial of the existence of systemic racism and of being a racist is de facto proof of both.
In this, Critical Race Theory itself is a deeply racist and malevolent ideology that embraces the totalitarian elements of suppression of dissent and the rejection of any opposing view as illegitimate.
Critical Race Theory is currently being forced into every aspect of our lives. It is taught in schools. It is taking over businesses.
President Biden signed executive orders mandating “equity” in all government agencies.
Gov. Jay Inslee just signed into law a mandate for annual Critical Race Theory/Equity indoctrination for Washington state teachers when they renew their teaching certificates.
Critical Race Theory advocates the destruction of capitalism, our justice system and the nuclear family.
It states that any system in our society that creates a disparity of outcome (“inequity”) can be defined as inherently racist and evidence of white racism.
Unbelievably, this now includes “systems” such as politeness, rational thought, arithmetic and even eye contact.
A defining characteristic of what it means to be human is the recognition of our capacity for sin and the healing power of forgiveness and redemption.
I reject Critical Race Theory’s assignation of “racist” to all white people as profoundly evil.
I reject any ideologue who arrogates to themselves the sort of moral superiority that allows them to not only pronounce someone guilty without evidence but to also remove any possibility of redemption.
I ask you to look in the mirror and decide if you can vote such a person into a position of leadership.
I ask you to reject any person who promotes Critical Race Theory and remember Dr. King’s advice to judge a person by their character not their color.
