I have worked in emergency services for Island County for 24 years and have responded to many tragedies over those years. During a majority of those years, I have worked closely with the Island County Coroner, Robert Bishop. His professionalism on cases compares to none that I have seen before. He takes time to be thorough in every investigation and has assisted law enforcement with investigations that have often proven to be complicated and time consuming.

A lot has been said about his approach to his job, but I what I am impressed with most is his compassion. He approaches each case the way he would want an investigator to if it was his own family member involved. I have stood beside him while he cried before speaking with family members and then again afterwards. He stands committed to the position despite the cost to his personal life, his family and his finances.

I believe that Robert Bishop is the right person for Island County Coroner.
