Get Holland Happening off to a running start Saturday, April 30 by taking part in the 8th annual Eagle Run at Windjammer park in Oak Harbor.

The Eagle Run features two different races – a one-mile Kid’s Eagle Dash and a timed 5K.

The Eagle Dash begins at 8 a.m. and takes place within the boundaries of the park. Parents are welcome to accompany their child in the run.

The 5K run starts at 8:15 a.m. with a course that loops around the Marina and back toward City Beach.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division of the 5K, and all children who participate in the Eagle Dash will receive a prize.

Cost to participate is $20 for adults and $12 for youth age 14 and under.

Advance registration is encouraged, and those who do so will receive a T-shirt.

Registration on the day of the race will be from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.
