Here it is almost time to vote again so it’s time to study and decide.

With all the hype we hear we should throw all of them out and start fresh … or should we?

We did that last time and we are worse off now than before.

I read in June that a couple made history by deciding to run for two county offices, clerk and treasurer. I can’t say much about the clerk’s office but I will say more about the treasurer. The treasurer can’t cut or lower the taxes. The county commissioners can do that, maybe they should run for that job! They have two years to study and get all the information on those jobs. Oh, and I also think the clerk will be hard pressed to lower our taxes.

On the other, Deputy Treasurer Ana Maria Nunez has about four years on the job plus a degree in accounting, and is a CPA. I will vote for her as I want to know my tax dollars are in experienced hands! I’m glad to see people come forward for Ana Maria. I hope she will consider Shane Fortune as a possible hire in the future and that Carol gets a job in the clerk’s office as we need new energetic people in our future government. As I said before in two years a commissioner’s job opens up. Through involvement and study you could set history.
