Five top terrorists are to be tried in civilian court to show that we are a kind and just nation? The world will love and respect us more? Laugh at us is more likely. Our president and attorney general have already said they will be found guilty and put to death. A trial in civilian court, with the same rights as American citizens, does not guarantee that outcome.

President Obama enjoys likening himself to FDR. Our AG was at a loss for words when asked “when was the last time a war criminal was brought to a civilian trial in our country?” He couldn’t answer because the answer is “never.” FDR made sure of that, too!

Now five terrorists are about to have a public platform instead of being tried in a military court as the enemy combatants that they are. Doesn’t our government understand that they want to be martyrs and have a public platform from which to spew their hatred for America and to recruit more terrorists?
