Letter: Mail delivery delays persist in Langley

Editor,

Has anyone else noticed that every time you order something from Amazon you can track it at its “normal pace” until it gets to Langley Post Office.. then it automatically gets a “delivery delay” on it and can sit there for five or six days before arriving to your post office box?

When I went in to complain about it, they were rude and said it was Amazon’s fault. I showed them the copies of the tracking of several different packages on different occasions and they said, “I don’t know what to tell you, we are short staffed take it up with the postmaster general?” This has been going on for well over a year, but now every package that arrives in Langley Post Office gets an automatic “delivery delay” immediately on the tracking info and sits there for many days, even if it is not ordered from Amazon. I have had to get refunds and I am thinking perhaps I should not use the post office any longer.
