Trump’s remake of U.S. capital is tacky, garish

So now we have a deep hole in the ground where the East Wing of the White House used to be. The reflecting pool floor has been repainted blue, and a public golf course in Washington, DC is slated to be upgraded with a Trump do-over. Then there are proposals for a victory arch and a project to paint the Executive Office Building white.

So let me guess. I imagine Trump’s next improvement will be to gild the Washington Monument in 14-karat gold leaf.
