Letter: Trump is the least Christian president

It is now official, the war in Iran has become an “Unholy War.” Trump and his cabinet has attempted to evoke God on the American side of this war without even admitting that it is a war, in fact his war of his choice. He has chosen to go this war alone without the help of allies and then spits in the face of allies when he gets in over his head. He is some strategist (not).

It has also been his choice to attempt to couch the war in Iran in the guise of a “Holy war” with the help of the Israelis who have bent him to their purpose, time and time again. Somehow this is made Biblical by trying to invoke scriptural references to the second coming of Christ. This from a man who shills autographed Bibles but can’t cite a favored quote from the Bible when asked. Secretary Hegseth, who is anything but a mainstream Christian, has cited his own “War Prayer” that nearly quotes Mark Twain’s War Prayer without realizing it was intended as satire. Praying to God for success in war is the very definition of blasphemy.

Add to that Trump’s “expletive laced threats” to Iran that offended our faith released to the world on Easter morning. He is a truly classless person and the least Christian president ever to hold the office. His “clergy person” Paula White fawning over him and trying to argue “he suffered as Christ did” was too much for everyone. Trump has faced the criticism and legal problems he has faced because he ignored the law and defied convention.
