Oak Harbor will celebrate its unique Dutch heritage Friday, April 27 through Sunday, April 29.
The community has celebrated its heritage with a festival for 43 years.
This year, enjoy the parade at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28 on Pioneer Way, accompanied by a street fair, which begins at 10 a.m. and goes through 7 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The family carnival on Bayshore Drive is open Friday through Sunday.
Children in kindergarten through eighth grade can design a poster for the Little Miss Dutch Maid and Little Dutch Boy Contest. Show what you like best about the Holland Happening Festival and win prizes, a spot in the parade and the title Little Miss Dutch Maid or Little Dutch Boy of Oak Harbor.
