Development: Higher gravel cost worth it

As a resident of the Dugualla community I will gladly trade cost for safety. If paying more for gravel to be trucked on the island means that my family and neighbors will no longer be in danger of being hit, injured or possibly killed by one of these gravel trucks as we drive out of our neighborhood then the higher cost of gravel is worth it to me. However, since Whidbey Island has an abundance of gravel pits I don’t see the cost skyrocketing anytime soon.
