Georgina Jane “Jo” Johnson: Jan. 20, 1937 – Sept. 21, 2018

She was born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada to George Edward Chesworth and Ottely Mary Stirsky. She went to Kitsilano High School and completed nursing school at Vancouver General Hospital in 1959. Later, she completed her bachelor’s of science degree in nursing. As an RN, she specialized and taught in obstetrical nursing and pioneered in fetal monitoring technology.

She married Robert Johnson on Sept. 11, 1970. They resided in Redando Beach, 25 years on the island of Kauai and was a resident of Oak Harbor since 2004. She was a member of the Elk’s Emblem club. She is survived by her sisters Barbara Seymour and Jeannie Gilroy, brother John Chesworth, and many nieces and nephews, grands and great. She is survived by her stepdaughters Gail DeFrain and Leah James, stepson Eric Johnson and several grands and greats. Jo traveled the world and was departed for her last stop. We miss her.
