Caitlin Woodworth placed third to pace the Oak Harbor High School wrestlers at the Burlington-Edison Women’s Invitational Saturday, Jan. 17.

The Wildcats placed 10th out of 19 schools although they had only five wrestlers in the 14 weight classes. Oak Harbor scored 40 points; Yelm won with 211.

Woodworth (140 pounds) received a bye and then recorded a pin before losing by a fall in the semifinals. She bounced back to take third with a 4-2 win.

Meredith Bain (170) lost by a pin in the quarterfinals, then recorded a pair of pins to finish fifth.

Isabel Garcia (105) won three out of four matches (two by pin, one 7-0) before losing by injury default in the match for fifth and sixth.

Patrice Woodworth (130) lost 14-0, won by a pin and lost by a pin; and Alyssa Ratchford (155) lost twice by falls.
