Wildcats sweep singles, defeat Tomahawks 4-3

The Oak Harbor High School tennis team continued its strong play in singles matches, defeating Marysville-Pilchuck 4-3 in WesCo North action Monday afternoon to even its season record at 2-2.

In first singles, senior Jennifer Jansen was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Taylor Olson. Playing second singles, junior Laurin Ricco went three sets before beating Jodie Anderswon 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Juniors Erin Nielon and Molly DeLeon remained undefeated for the Wildcats in third and fourth singles.

Neilon stopped Juliana Albano 6-3, 6-2, and DeLeon was also a straight-set winner topping Sasha Thomas 6-3, 6-0.
