The Oak Harbor High School track teams swept a double dual meet at Quil Ceda Stadium in Marysville Thursday, April 16.
The Wildcats boys beat Marysville Getchell 87-57 and Meadowdale 98-47.
The Oak Harbor girls thumped Meadowdale 125-15 and topped Getchell 81-60.
Dejon Devroe and John Rodeheffer each picked up a win and a second-place finish to pace the Oak Harbor boys.
Jonalynn Horn, Kaitlyn Chelberg and Taylor Deconzo were double winners for the girls.
Devore was first in the 200 meters (23.33) and second in the 400 (50.7). Rodeheffer captured the 1,600 (4:33) and was runner up in the 800 (2:08.62) to teammate Sebastian Ceaser (2:06.1).
Devroe and Ceaser also won in the 4×400 relay (3:34.52) with Jared Gray and Mac Nuanez.
Gray (300 hurdles, 41.69) and Nuanez (high jump, 5-10) added wins in individual events.
Diangelo McKinney (long jump, 19-09) and Ozelle Jackson (triple jump, 37-11) helped Oak Harbor sweep the jumps.
Tyler Adamson won the shot put by nearly 14 feet with the state’s fifth-best 3A throw of the year, 50-07.
For the girls, Horn won the 1,600 (no time reported) and 3,200 (11:53.9), Chelberg took both hurdle events (100, 16.89; 300, 50.66), and Deconzo led in the shot put (34-11.5) and javelin (91-06).
Other winners were Alana Austin (200, 27.27), Deja Bunch (400, 1:05.46), Julie Jansen (discus, 91-09) and Jenna Cooley (long jump, 16-03.5).
Next Thursday, April 23, Oak Harbor will join Marysville-Pilchuck at Arlington at 3:30 p.m.
