Wildcats rebound with double win | Swimming

Bouncing back from a loss to defending state champion Mercer Island Saturday, the Oak Harbor swim team defeated Snohomish and Glacier Peak Monday, Sept. 30, at John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool.

The Wildcats stopped Snohomish 98-78 and GP 107-76.

Marissa Morris continued her impressive season with wins in the 200 (2:18.46) and 400 (4:47.49) freestyles.

Mollie Briddell won the 100-meter backstroke in 1:13.47 and joined Sydney Dickinson, Tricia Desquitado and Irysh Concepcion to win the 200 medley relay in 2:22.03.

Briddell also finished second in the 100 free (1:04.82) and in the 400 free relay with Kennedy Trisler, Erica Sugatan and Morris (4:37.71).

Concepcion (50 free, 30.18) and Sugatan (200 individual medley, 2:47.75) also picked up seconds.

Oak Harbor (5-2) goes to Mount Vernon (4-2) at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
