Wildcats nab 6th in Shootout | Girls golf

The Oak Harbor High School girls golf team finished sixth in the 18-team Whidbey Shootout Tuesday, March 22, at the Whidbey Golf Club.

Kamiak won the tournament with 514 strokes, 18 shots ahead of runner-up Glacier Peak; Oak Harbor carded a 556.

Resego Mooki paced the Wildcats with a 100, good for 17th in the individual standings, on the par-72 course.

She was followed on the Oak Harbor scorecard by Jessica Monagham (104), Hannah Taylor (108), Terra Baird (116), Suzanne Kaltenbach (128) and Beth Paul (138).

Vreni Todd of Snohomish earned medalist honors with an 82.

Oak Harbor begins conference play when it faces Marysville-Pilchuck at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Whidbey Golf Club.
