Wildcats drop finale at Stanwood / Swim and dive

The Oak Harbor High School swim and dive team wrapped up the regular season with a 96-73 loss at Stanwood Thursday, Jan. 30.

Next is the district meet Feb. 12, 14 and 15 at Snohomish.

As he has throughout the season, Micah Franklin led the Wildcats at Stanwood.

Franklin won the 200-yard individual medley (2:31.32), 100 butterfly (1:02.36) and 200 medley relay (1:55.94) with Lawrence Zapanta, Ridgely Briddell and Rylan Quiros.

Briddell added a first in the 50 freestyle (24.91); Zapanta won the 100 breaststroke (1:12.49.

Second: Zapanta, 200 IM, 2:26.24; Briddell, 100 butterfly, 1:05.63; 200 free relay (Briddell, Zapanta, Franklin, Chandler Landolt), 1:44.71.

Third: Quiros, 50 free, 25.3; 100 breast, 1:18.48; Andrew Lof, 500 free, 7:20.96; 200 medley relay (Austin Hoppock, Austin Galletta, Landolt, Aiden Golden), 2:14.55; 400 free relay (Cameron Hoppock, Jacob Swanson, Jake Mitten, Golden), 4:42.83.

Fourth: Lof, 200 free, 2:33.63; Swanson, 200 IM, 2:54.29; Cameron Hoppock, 100 fly, 1:12.26; Tyson Neal, 100 free, 1:07.05; Austin Hoppock, 500 free, 7:22.35; Landolt, 100 back, 1:21.56.

Fifth: Galletta, 200 free, 2:50.05; 100 back, 1:34.92; Golden, 100 free, 1:07.3; Tyler Mattson, 500 free, 7:33.76; 200 free relay (Austin Hoppock, Mitten, Cameron Hoppock, Mattson), 2:01.94; 400 free relay (Samuel Noel, Riley Williamson, Galletta, Elias Thompson), 5:05.36.
