The Oak Harbor High School NJROTC competition teams and individuals opened the season in traditionally strong style with an impressive showing at Arlington Saturday, Dec. 12.

The Oak Harbor High School NJROTC competition teams and individuals opened the season in traditionally strong style with an impressive showing at Arlington Saturday, Dec. 12.

In team competition, physical strength (Purple), sporter rifle (Blue), precision rifle, dual armed exhibition drill (Jacob Harris and Dylan Angell) and dual unarmed exhibition drill (Noel Pangilinan and Alex Hartley) each finished first.

The unarmed drill team, armed drill team (Gold) and dual armed exhibition drill (Nathan Larsen and Jonathan Francisco) placed second.

Color guard 2 and physical strength (Gold) were fourth, while color guard 1 took fifth.

Oak Harbor shooters dominate in the individual standings.

Mia Gehrmann was first out of 64 shooters in the sporter division, while Mara Rouse topped all precision shooters.

In sporter, Steven Richards finished second, Micah Moss third and Elizabeth Adams eighth.

In precision, Austin McBride took fourth and Montana Koslowksi fifth.

In other individual competition, Callie Nuttall was first out of 22 in the ironwoman competition.

Kegan Small was second and Jose Cabigting third out of 33 in ironman. Unarmed Drill Team Commander Ria Bains nabbed third, and Armed Drill Team Commander Larsen was fourth.

The Wildcat Battalion will host the next divisional meet Jan. 16.
