Washington placed on watch list for all-star football game

Oak Harbor High School wide receiver Mike Washington, Jr. has been placed on the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl watch list.

Oak Harbor High School wide receiver Mike Washington, Jr. has been placed on the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl watch list.

The nation’s top 1,500 prospects make up the 2012 watch list for the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, and this begins the process of selecting 100 players for the East-West game in Phoenix Jan. 3.

The game is sponsored by the United States Marine Corps and will run in conjunction with Fiesta Bowl Week.

Sixteen players from Washington state made the watch list; Washington is the only Wesco 3A player.
