Undefeated Vikings stop Wolves 6-1 / Tennis

2A powerhouse North Kitsap zapped the Coupeville High School tennis team 6-1 Monday, April 9, on the Wolves’ courts.
The Vikings, who have piled up a 56-2 record over the past half decade, are now 8-0 this season. Coupeville, a 1A school, dropped to 1-5.
The senior team of Sage Renninger and Payton Aparicio earned Coupeville’s point with a 7-5, 6-3 win in first doubles.
The Wolves go to North Mason (2-5) at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, and then have conference home matches at 3:15 p.m. Thursday with Klahowya (1-3) and Friday with Chimacum (1-4).
