Unbeaten Oak Harbor remains in 1st place / Volleyball

A 3-1 win at Archbishop Murphy Tuesday, Oct. 1, kept the Oak Harbor High School volleyball team’s record clean.

The Wildcats (6-0) are still tied for first place in the Western Conference with Arlington (6-0). Snohomish is also unbeaten (5-0).

Oak Harbor plays Snohomish (Oct. 22) and Arlington (Oct. 24) in back-to-back matches later this month. First, the Wildcats need to navigate through four more Wesco contests, starting when Mountlake Terrace (0-5, 0-6) visits Oak Harbor at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Oak Harbor defeated Archbishop Murphy 26-24, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20.

Leielle Salinger had a strong all-around match with 18 kills, 15 digs, three aces and a block. Morgan Pease chipped in with 10 kills and 10 digs, while Payton Parks produced four kills, five blocks and two aces.

Gredina DeGuzman collected 16 digs and a pair of aces, and Annie Salinger served up 39 assists.
