The Oak Harbor girls team placed fourth and the boys fifth as the Wildcats picked up three individual firsts in the Wesco 3A championship track meet at Wildcat Memorial Stadium May 11 and 13.

Shorecrest earned the girls title with 173 points; Oak Harbor recorded 145. Everett took the boys crown with 178; Oak Harbor tallied 78.

Christina Wicker and Allison Duvenez paced the girls. Wicker won the 400 (59.31), was sixth in the 3,200 (11:42.03) and ran with Duvenez, Christina Alexander and Maura McKole to finish second in the 4×400 relay (4:08.8).

Duvenez (46.63) led a 1-2 Oak Harbor finish in the 300 hurdles with Raeanna Wynne (48.73) and placed fourth in the 100 hurdles (16.46), one spot ahead of Wynne (16.56).

Janessa Ramos also had a strong meet, joining Sarah Young, Jalani Bobo and Alexander to win the 4×200 relay (1:50.93), finishing third in the 100 (12.9), fifth in the long jump (15-03.75) and third in the 4×100 relay with Janelle Yoshimoto, Bobo and Young (51.51).

Yoshimoto also took second in the javelin (105.08.75).

Adrianna Royal grabbed thirds in the 800 (2:23.06) and 1,600 (5:15.47) and seventh in the 3,200 (11:52.51).

Josiah Miller earned the boys only win, taking the triple jump (41-11.5), and nabbed second in the 100 (10.96), 200 (22.39) and 4×400 relay (3:30.02) with Carlton Johnson, Chris Opdyke and Justin Everett.

Johnson, Everett, Cody Hernkind and Aaron Boesch placed fourth in the 4×100 relay (45.56), and Oak Harbor received fifths from Opdyke (400, 52.22), Josh Schrum (800, 2:02.97) and Kevawn Brooks (javelin, 149-03).

The Wildcats take part in the district track meet at Shoreline Stadium Wednesday, May 18, at 3:30 p.m. and Friday, May 20, at 5.
