The Panthers (2-0, 4-1) dropped from 4A to 3A this year and started the conference season with a pair of shutouts.

The Wildcats won only three games in Wednesday’s match.

Oak Harbor (0-2, 2-3), which started the season with two wins but has dropped its last three matches, will look to break the trend when it goes to Arlington (1-0, 4-0) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15.

Singles: 1, Jackson Wezeman lost 6-2, 6-0; 2, Jordan Park lost 6-0, 6-1; 3, JJ Mitchell lost 6-0, 6-1; 4, Sid Thomas lost 6-0, 6-0.
