Oak Harbor opens season by winning 4-team meet / Boys golf

The Oak Harbor High School boys golf team won its season opener, taking a four-team meet Thursday, March 14, at the Whidbey Golf Club.

The Wildcats shot 333, finishing ahead of Shorewood (353), Lake Stevens (364) and Edmonds-Woodway (377).

Nick Krantz paced Oak Harbor with an 80, good for third overall. He was followed closely by Aidan Wyer (81) and Haven Brown (82).

Cole Valdez carded a 90, Nate Thompson 94 and Wyatt Bright 99.

Lake Stevens’ Josh Selby took medalist honors with a 74.

Oak Harbor travels to Cedarcrest Golf Course to face host Marysville Getchell and Shorecrest at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 19.
